Nursing seminar on patient emotional support open to public

“Patient Emotional Support and Patient Satisfaction Scores” is the subject of the Nursing Grand Rounds taking place 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Upstate. The presentation is targeted to nurses of all levels, and it is open to the public.

Speakers include Mark Buttiglieri, director of the Department of Social Work, and James LeGault, director of Clinical Practice Analysis and Support. They will explain the use of active listening, describe effective negotiating skills and go over patient satisfaction score interpretation.

The presentation will be held in Weiskotten Hall, room 2231.
