Labor Day Weekend at the State Fair

It’s the last few days of the State Fair, a bittersweet ode to our too-quickly fading summer. Yet, at the same time, the grand finale we look forward to just before the kids go back to school.

We hope you’ve stopped by to say hello at least once this past week, but if not, here’s your last chance. Check out what’s on tap this weekend:

  • Osteoporosis Prevention and Education Program – In New York State alone, at least 3 million women and men (age 50 and over) either have osteoporosis or are at significant risk of developing osteoporosis. Are you at risk? The good news is that, as a result of research, we now have effective ways to help you prevent, diagnose, and treat this sometimes disabling disease. Learn more at the Upstate booth.
  • Epic MyChart – Did you know Upstate now offers your health records on an easy to use and secure website and smart phone app? Your health is important to you around the clock—not just during office hours. That’s why Upstate Medical University offers MyChart. With this internet connection to your doctor’s office, you can request appointments and prescription refills, review your health history and more—online, any time. Stop by the booth Saturday to learn more!

All Weekend:

  • Women’s Health Network Membership Drive – Visit us all weekend! The Upstate Women’s Health Network is a network of services and providers that creates a premiere destination for women’s health services. The Network connects providers across the Upstate health system, collecting the expertise of Upstate’s health care team to provide you with the easiest access to care — whatever your needs or stage of life.
At Upstate Women’s Health Network, you have access to the most advanced women’s care available, plus you get preferred access to health screenings, educational and lifestyle enhancement programs and more.
Our dedicated nurse liasion guides women through a sometimes complex healthcare environment, advising them on the resources available for their health and wellness needs. With this guidance, the Network makes it easier for patients to understand their options and find the participating provider with the most appropriate expertise.
For questions, referrals, or to schedule an appointment, contact our Nurse Liaison or stop in and get signed up!

The Upstate booth is located in the Science and Technology building.  See you at the Fair!
