The Upstate elves worked hard this year to help Santa fill his sleigh with Christmas presents for the children of Central New York. All the gifts were delivered to the College of Health Professions under the direction of toy drive coordinator Linda Curry. Toys were collected from Upstate faculty, staff and students Nov. 18 to Dec. 13.
“Every year I am amazed at the giving spirit the Upstate community has during the holiday season,” Curry says.
This year’s drive collected more than 650 items that filled more than 25 bags. The toys will go to the Salvation Army Syracuse Area Services’ and will be distributed on Monday, Dec. 23 at the annual Christmas Bureau Distribution at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center.
